we are having an annual board meeting on Jun 11 from 7-9pm at Arcata Community Center. Humboldt Soccer League is a non-profit which is run by a team of volunteers and we have a board of directors which meets quarterly to make decisions on behalf of the organization. This month's board meeting is special, as all members of the league are invited to come to the meeting and each team registered in the league is entitled to voting privilege (1 vote/ team). During this meeting we will fill seats on the Board, re-elect positions, and discuss regular decisions about future leagues. Board members play a crucial role in managing and directing the activities and affairs of the soccer league. Their responsibilities include attending regular meetings (~4/year), participating in decision-making processes, overseeing the implementation of policies, and ensuring that the organization complies with its by-laws and legal obligations. We seek individuals who have the time to be active participants and are willing to take on responsibilities and leadership roles within our organization. Board members also contribute to strategic planning, financial oversight, and community engagement to support the league's mission and growth. Our biggest goal is to provide affordable and accessible opportunities to play soccer for all. This position offers a rewarding opportunity to shape the future of our soccer community and make a meaningful impact.
