HSL 2025 COED SUMMER 7v7 Rules- Games will be on half fields with small goals and will be 50 minutes long (25 minute halves)
- A full team is seven players, with a maximum of 5 players of one single gender on the field at any time (for example- 5 male, 2 female). A team will be considered to have forfeit if it cannot field at least five players.
- Substitutions may be made at any time, on the fly. Players must enter and exit the field at the same place.
- There will be no offsides.
- No slide tackling.
- All restarts are indirect free kicks (no throw-ins).
- No player, offensive or defensive, may enter the crease (the arc around the goalmouth) unless the ball is in the crease. Violations will result in a corner kick (defensive violation), a PK if blocking a potential goal (defensive violation), or a restart from the end line (offensive violation). Repeated violations (especially "goaltending”) will result in a 30-second penalty (player must step off the field for 30 seconds, with no substitutions).
- Any dangerous play, dissent toward the ref or other fouls that the ref deems worthy of a card will result in the player taking a 3-minute penalty (the player must step off the field for 3 minutes, with no substitution)
- Players may drop-in on games but they must pay $10 drop-in fee (unless team paid the team registration) and sign the liability waiver. If a team has an unregistered player on the field, the game may be forfeited.
- Teams may borrow registered players from other teams if they are short on players.
